There are important developments taking place in Latin America with the election of Hugo Chavez and the alliance being built between Venezuela, Cuba, Bolivia and other Latin American countries. The major threat that was once posed by the Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA) seems to have been completely eradicated and what we are now seeing in its place is the development of ALBA (in Spanish Alternativa Bolivariana para las Américas).

To keep our members up to date with some of these developments we are making links with a news feeds of two organisations: the Trinidad and Tobago Cuba Solidarity and the Trinidad and Tobago Venezuela Bolivarian Solidarity.
