On December, Comrade Frank Sears, President of the National Workers Union, wrote the following letter to Ludmilla Tackoor-Addo, Managing Director of Non Destructive Testers Ltd.

The  National Workers Union received your reply to our initial letter dated 12th December 2011, and in response states that we do have de facto recognition and as such, is seeking a meeting with you as soon as possible. We suggest a date no later than Tuesday 3rd January 2012, at any convenient time and place to discuss a number of issues affecting your workers who have voluntarily joined this union.

I implore you to meet and treat with our Union with the intention of signing a Memorandum of Agreement so that there can be industrial peace and harmony within your workforce, which inevitably leads to higher production levels.

A bilateral meeting would surely clear up the misconceptions between both parties. Objection to our request would force us to pursue collective action both within and without your company's compound.

In the spirit of the season, do have a harmonious Christmas because the new year beckons with glorious uncertainties.
