At 5pm on May 6th the Communication Workers Union (CWU) filed an Industrial Relations Offence (IRO) against TSTT. This was to be used to seek injunctive relief against TSTT's action to go directly to the bargaining Unit staff with their Voluntary separation proposal.

According to Bryan St. Louis Deputy General Secretary of the union: “The company sensing a defeat at the Court in front of the President of the Court Her Honour Debra Thomas Felix agreed to the following.

1. Unconditionally withdraw the extended offer from May 5th to staff. Any applications from May 5 is null and void

2. No applications received from April 17 will be processed while the Union and the Company continue to discuss to arrive at an agreement.

3. The meeting carded for May 8 at 9.30am on VSEP will go on.

4. The substantive IRO of going directly to staff will be set for Directions on May 13 at 9.30am.

Comrades this is a major victory for the CWU as the company was humbled to retreat on their fancied positions.”
