PSA’s ROBINSON, SAUNDERS ON REINSTATEMENT

posted 6 Dec 2012, 12:00 by Gerry Kangalee
Rosanna Robinson and Rendy Bedassie spoke to Comrade Rae Samuel of the National Workers Union on December 4th 2012 about their reinstatement to the executive of the Public Services Association (PSA) by order of Justice Joan Charles delivered on November 29th.

Robinson, First Vice President of the PSA and Bedassie, Deputy General Secretary, along with Trustees Raymond Butler and Demetrius Harrison and General Secretary Oral Saunders had been suspended from the executive of the union by PSA President Watson Duke in July 2010

That action plunged the union into a period of bitter internal strife which saw union functionaries Joanne Semper-Caprietta, Yvonne de Peiza and Paula Prescott suspended from their posts in August 2011. They were reinstated in their substantive posts three months ago. General Secretary Saunders’ suspension is yet to be ruled on by the Court. (see video here)
