NWU BUDGET ANALYSIS

The National Workers Union (NWU) distributed an analysis of the 2011 budget (SEE ATTACHMENT BELOW) at an All Union Conference of Shop Stewards and Branch Officers (COSSABO) held at Paramount Building, OWTU Headquarters, in San Fernando on Saturday 9th October. The analysis is called

from the People's Partnership.


The budget analysis was very well received by the second rank leaders of the trade union movement at the COSSABO and was even referred to when some union reps were making their contributions 

The Conference was called to discuss the advancement of the Workers’ Agenda after receiving reports from the leadership of the labour movement as to their discussions with the Minister of Labour over the issue of labour law reform.

At the end of the COSSABO a resolution referring to the need for a workers' political vehicle and the need for mass mobilisation of the workers was adopted.
