BLOCK UP REFUSES TO BE BLOCKED

On Wednesday 4th July 2012, Block Up Inc. the Curepe-based People's organisation kicked off the 30th edition of its Inter primary school windball cricket competition at Constantine Park, Macoya.

This long running developmental programme is open to primary schools in the Eastern region of the country and has become a pivotal event in the lives of budding young cricketers.

Rae Samuel of the National Workers Union talks to Glen Ramjag and Farouk Deonarine, co-ordinators of the programme, about the difficulties posed to the staging of the competion.by the pushing back of the SEA examinations and the implementation of the Continuous assessment Component by the Ministry of Education.
