Our History

It is often said that history is written by the victors. Little wonder that the history of the oppressed is often lost in the mists of time.

Our history is important. This is why the National Workers Union is starting to document and record some important events where we are able to get information that will provide a more lasting testament to the struggle of the poor and oppressed. We are starting by recognising the contributions of Clotil Walcott who died on 20th November 2007. We also recognise the contribution of Comrade James Jones who was a key activists with the Transport and Industrial Workers Union
